The rose garden at Lassay-les-Châteaux

Roses galore

The municipal rose garden was created in a former Benedictine convent

The conservatory houses 318 rose species (approximately 4000 plants).

Every rose has a full label giving its scientific and common names, its planting date and the name of the breeder. From June onwards, the display is simply stunning.

The river Lassay runs alongside the municipal rose garden. Have a look inside the old communal wash houses on the riverbank.
